Rehearsal Schedule:
We will break into two groups:
LOTR choir (incl. DCC) in the main room with John, Fergal to rehearse LOTR music. Would a few members who are singing at the LOTR rehearsal bring along a copy of your Messiah score to lend to new members in the second rehearsal. We will ensure that they are safely returned at the end of the night. We’ll only need about 10 – 15 extra copies.
Rest of group in tea room for a workshop with Katy Kelly on singing technique in Messiah - melisma etc., as well as general tone production and breath control.
to help new members, and members for whom last December was the first run at Messiah, with some of the trickier Messiah choruses. Longstanding members who are not taking part in LOTR are strongly encouraged to attend this Messiah session to help their newer counterparts. Bring along your Messiah score if you have one.
